General
Work will not commence on any project, until it has been agreed upon by the Client and Grammarkable. A Client must submit a request for any work to be carried out, by submitting a quote via the pricing calculators, with the relevant files uploaded.
Consent by a Client is assumed, based on Grammarkable receiving a request with uploaded files attached.
If any documentation provided to Grammarkable by a Client is unclear, or if we require more information, we will contact the Client for more information. It is important that the Client responds to this request as soon as possible, to avoid further delays.
Rounding up or down (audio files). Audio files received by Grammarkable are charged per audio minute. For example, an audio file which is 10 minutes and 30 seconds in length, will be rounded up to 11 minutes. An audio file which is 10 minutes and 29 seconds in length, will be rounded down to 10 minutes.
Grammarkable accept up to two audio hours per project, for audio transcription projects. If your audio file is longer than two audio hours, we may be able to facilitate this, subject to availability. Please contact us, to see if we are able to help with such a request. Alternatively, you may submit two (or more) separate requests.
We use our own in-house templates for all of the work that we carry out. However, if you have your own templates which you want us to use, or specific requirements, such as double-spacing throughout the document, please mention this during your initial enquiry.
Transcribed, typed and proofread files will be returned to the Client on our in-house template. If you wish to use your own template, simply copy and paste the text on to your own template. As standard, transcribed files will also have time stamps every five minutes and/or whenever there is a new speaker in the audio. If you require a different format, or more frequent time stamps, please mention this during your initial enquiry, and we will generally be able to accommodate your request.
All documentation completed by Grammarkable, will be written in British English. If source material is provided to Grammarkable with an alternative form of English, such as American English, any amendments will be made using British English, unless instructed otherwise by the Client.
We expect audio files submitted by a Client to be clear and audible, without lots of static or background noise, which could make it very difficult and time-consuming for our transcribers to hear or understand. If an audio file does not meet this requirement, Grammarkable reserves the right to decline accepting a project.
Any files submitted by a Client to be proofread, must be written in a reasonably acceptable standard of English. If the file requires more than a proofreading service, as in, a full re-write, Grammarkable reserves the right to decline accepting such a project.
Files submitted to Grammarkable for our typing service, must be legible. If a file is illegible, Grammarkable reserves the right to decline accepting a project.
It is assumed that any files submitted to Grammarkable, are provided with permission by the client. Grammarkable is not responsible for any files which are fraudulent or provided without permission.
Our typing service charges on a per-page basis, up to a maximum of 500 words per page. If a Client submits a document consisting of 3 pages, with each page containing 900 words, this will then be typed single-spaced over 6 pages (2700/500 = 5.4 pages). The Client will subsequently be charged for 6 pages.
Our pricing calculators will mostly give an accurate price. However, please note that the calculators should not be relied upon to provide the exact final price. For example, a Client may make specific additional requests after submitting the initial enquiry, which could cause the price to change. Furthermore, our typing service charges by the number of words typed, so the exact price may not be determined until the project has been completed.
Complaints
We want our Clients to be delighted with the work that we do. However, if the Client is unhappy with any aspect of the work carried out by Grammarkable, it is the Client’s responsibility to inform Grammarkable as soon as possible. Any errors or amendments will be rectified free of charge, provided Grammarkable is informed within five (5) working days of the Client receiving the completed work. Once five working days have elapsed, any further amendments will not be the responsibility of Grammarkable.
Privacy Policy
All data supplied by a Client to Grammarkable, will be handled and treated confidentially, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2018, as well as the Terms and Conditions of Grammarkable.
